Love this theatre . Make sure you look up at the roof when lights go out. Those lions up front have been there since I was a kid in the '70s

One of the great atmospheric cinemas of the 1920s. The interior is an eclectic mix of Indian, ottoman and other architectural influences.

If possible, get a seat upstairs so that you can admire the twinkling stars of the ceiling planetarium .

If there's a hideously long queue for the ladies' loos at half-time, duck around the corner to the SkyCity Metro toilets . Take a shortcut through the $3 Japan shop.
