「半木の道」は、京都府立植物園 西側の鴨川東側堤防の散歩道。約0・8キロにわたり、ヤエベニシダレザクラが「桜のトンネル 」のように咲き誇る。鴨川沿いの桜並木 は、葵橋付近から上賀茂橋 付近までが特に美しく、大文字や鴨川のせせらぎを借景に、ソメイヨシノ が帯のように咲きそろう。
