The Metelkova mesto alternative culture centre is located in a former barracks complex. It developed into an important centre of alternative culture and a vibrant venue for concerts, club nights, lectures and other events featuring artists from around the world.

An оasіs оf art , freedоm and сreatіvіty.15 to 20 mins walk frm old town . Weird yet wonderful place. Given time, I could admire the art here for hours. Opening Hours: 24 hours , but the bars open 6pm

A must see while in Ljubljana! There's always something going on from french lessons to badass concerts and vegan food stands . Bring your own booze and when that's gone go get yourself a beer or seven
Squatters have turned this former Yugoslav army barracks into a trendy spot with many nightclubs and bars .
I am not sure what I expected from Metelkova, but it sure did exceed my expectations. Will visit again next time in Ljubljana.
