Crab dip and pork tacos all day - solid beer selection in a great old speakeasy from 1888
Hemingway hung out here. Short 's makes a great IPA just for this restaurant . Biscuit , BBQ chips , and salmon BLT were all fantastic. You can't go wrong here!
On Sunday nights during the winter season , they host trivia in the Annex . Winners get $20 to the Wineguys chain - perfect for frequent flyers!
Great burgers and pasta choices! Wonderful service and I love karaoke nights ❤️
My wife had the perch (extremely good) and I had the jambalaya (not bad). Service was good. I'd visit this establishment again
FYI BEER SNOBS... they currently have Founders KBS on tap , hurry while it lasts. While you're there, try the Four Cheese Penne , yum!
Hemingway wrote his first books hanging out here. He used to watch bare knuckle boxing in the park next to the restaurant . The rest is history.
Make a reservation . They have a vegan , vegetarian , gluten free menu !
Short 's "Hanging Frank" IPA on draft , named after one of the site's original owners. Good Saturday night live music .
The amazing food brings me in but the great staff keeps me coming back! It's fantastic every time! Thanks Zack
The human biscuit treats are wonderful. Food is always tastey.
I travel all the time for work this restaurant has the best service and food that I've ever had
Known as The Annex back in Hemingway 's day, this used to be an old billiads hall where Hemingway enjoyed a drink or two.
Family Style Dinner Specials on Wednesday and Thursday. We'll be back to try it out.
This bar is full of douchey types that are the sloppy second leftovers of an ivy league town . If you think about coming here please stab yourself in the eye or just kill yourself.
Ask for a tour of the basement and the story of the ghost , Frank!
Sit in Hemingway 's seat at the end of the bar closest to the door.
Half soup half sandwich is great.
Nice place to have lunch on a rainy day.
Beer that is about it. Over priced for the food. Chicken Penni pasta with chicken was not much more then one chicken nugget cut up. Burger was good bun was old falling apart .
The Chicago Burger is a must.
Hummis very good. Should serve with half veggies/half pita bread
Salmon BLT . Cannot go wrong!
The harvest salad was good but the Italian sausage bruchetta was just ok.
Enjoy dinner at the same restaurant Ernest Hemingway used to enjoy on a frequent basis!
The calamari is excellent!
Great atmosphere, but very weak drinks :/
Can't get much better than $2 Drafts on Tuesday Nights
Try the French Onion soup .
The biscuits here are just too good.
City Park salad with dried cherries - yum.
The biscuits and flank steak are dynamite!
Earnest Hemingway was here
Get the house salad
This use to be Hemingway 's hang out!
Alyssa is the main reason to visit.
Stay away from the wings , the sauce is not good and the meat is dry.
So so food. Go to Santee in Boyne City . Decor is worth seeing here. Will not come back
I don't leave tips often, but the experience here was pretty bad. Virtually no greeting from the two hostesses . The menu wasn't that impressive, although our waiter was quite nice. Poorly cooked food
Good food. French toast and eggs are excellent. Nice atmosphere also. - David Wiltfong
Great place for their breakfast buffet. Also a great place for small groups and meetings. - Scott Kelley
The buffet is pretty good, if overpriced. That being said they're very welcoming and the food is usually great. - Corey Simon
Wonderful first time experience. Friendly, helpful service and delicious food. Enjoy. - Will Swets
A great place for a drink and to watch sports on the TV. - Bryan Pontiac
