I wish the statues and photo op areas were a little more interactive (I'm comparing it to their Vegas attraction ). But the experience was awesome and I really enjoyed the 4D movie and their staff !
We went for the ghostbusters Void Experience. Fantastic - it's $50 but worth it. Rest of the experiences also super fun. Get here by 9am if your doing ghostbusters otherwise LONG LONG wait .
Bring a nice camera to shoot in low light and come with a few people so you guys make pics of each other. Worth it, especially for tourists ! Many figures look real (some not) but overall pretty cool!
I went there over the summer for the first time and it was so fun and amazing. It's so amazing how some of the wax figures look so real. If you haven't went there, please do so.
Teens, who can be hard to please, usually love this museum . Why? Because they can take endless photos for their Facebook pages with the lifelike wax figures of everyone famous.
Well done wax figures . If you get the VIP package, you get to take tons of selfies with wax celebrities . The staff is super nice
Check for deals and discounts on Groupon! Multiple floors. Wax figures from various industries: art , comedy , film , history, music , etc. Special exhibit for NY-related wax figures . Crowded . Loud .
You can pick up your New York Pass from inside here
Other sections while walking in the museum are reorganized from my last visit 15 years ago, but still the same, one visit is enough for good.
The wax figures of J. Lo and Oprah look so cool and real! It's a great place to visit if you are visiting New York, or showing someone around that visiting NYC http://www.SignsVisual.com Read more
Be sure to purchase the ticket online you will get it with a lower fare. The bad thing that happened to us when we purchased the tickets and went out there at 8:30 and the were closed !!!
This venue is bound to be a crowd pleaser. Have a special presentation? Rent out the 4D Cinema ! Celebrating your team’s big win? The Sports Zone is the place to go.
Make it fun! Pose with as many statues , in as many silly ways, as you possibly can :) Laughed the whole way through this.
Great exhibits ! The Marvel 4D experience was really cool too! Show the Foursquare promotion to get $5 off your ticket!
The Marvel Super heroes 4D show was amazing. In addition to the show you also get to see all the Marvel Avengers wax figures-Hulk was the best.
What a beautiful place, I just cant get enough of it. Marvel characters are amazing.
real nice, but very crowded ! It seems like the city tours have packages with this location so many crowds were there when I visited. But once you pass the ticket counter the whole experience is good.
Was a lot of fun and really interesting to see some famous people up close and size myself up against them.
Make sure you check out all the was figures some of them are so freaky realistic. Also check out the declaration of independance
I didn't expect to be this fun! Ask for a discount at the entrance, you may get a 50% off!
Make sure you get in the right line or you won’t get a ticket or be able to use the bathroom and no one will tell you which line is the ticket line . Good luck!
Really enjoyed this place!!! most of the figures are very lifelike. only downer was time it takes to pick up pictures. would be nice to be able to review them before you get to counter.
You need to come here if you're knowing NY! Only the brazilians does not looks nice (Ayrton Senna and Pelé). I think they saved the wax!
You can actually stand next to every wax figure and take great pics right next to all your favorites!
New York branch of London's famous wax museum . See your favourite stars sculpted in wax. They look so realistic.
The place is a little bit expensive . The figures are perfect though. Take approximately 2 hours to visit the whole place.
Look around on the streets for uniformed MT employees holding 50% off coupons on admission. Makes it worth it!
I've ben many cities but I did not prefer to go because i thought it would be wast of time. But this one is really different and We have so much fun.
Tourist friends made me! $39 includes a wax model of your hand and a 1 hour long wait even during a quieter time at 5pm
The Americans were going crazy for One Direction..more seriously use your New York Pass for the shortest queue :) and check out the Marvel part
The ticket price was 39$, nice museum ) I liked it
Liked the experience. Not all characters are extremely look like, some of them actually didn't look like. Its great for the first half, but after that you start to get bored cause is pretty much the same.
My friend and I refused to go to the scary part of the museum so the staff who where standing outside chased us around and tried to frightened us! but it was a fun thrill!
A neighbor of ours: a touristy experience, of course, but still one that has lots of camp value. We love the new Diddy character. Be sure to arrive early because the lines can be crazy. Read more
Almost every wax statue is so lifelike! But maybe plan on going during the week instead of the weekend, otherwise expect lots of crowd.
Awesome! Don't miss it! ????
Was fun to look around, I personally wouldn't bother with the 4D movie if your tickets don't include it... If you do go see it don't sit at the front for a better experience.
We visited the museum on a regular thursday at 10.30 am and it was marvelous. Its not that we were alone but we didnt have to face crowds, long lines of people nor similar annoying experiences.
Life like statues that never fail to shock visitors. Many are posed so visitors can get natural looking photos with them.
There are 3 stations where they take your photo and you can buy it at the end. There should be a way to see it/them BEFORE you wait on line . If you're not happy, you've waited for nothing.
I really loved this place. I came here twice and I'd like to come back soon. When I saw the wax... AMAZING!
Buy tix online, savings are even better than kidstuff coupon...interesting and worth every penny!
If you have time you can find a coupon in Dunkin Donuts with 20% discount .
You can buy a classic pass for about $31 which doesn't include the How We Do It movie . They give 15 percent off for AAA membership. I would get the regular admission ($35) as it is worth it.
Awesome museum , buy your tickets online you will skip line ! It is awesome

We had so much fun on the uptown tour, especially with our guide. She is going the extra mile - Mike B
Beautiful historic building and gardens. However, they're missing a clearer narrative to their permanent exhibition. My favorite part was the herbs garden. - Carolina Ribeiro

The entrance is free - the museum is a part of Smithsonian. It's rather small but worth visiting! - Kay T
