Great place to go on a rainy day and the sculptures are amazing. It is also a great place to go with kids as the will love to press the buttons to make the sculptures move.
I have been here recently for a vernissage with concert . Unique atmosphere! Nice architecture with great Rhine view , which hosts unique sculptures of the artist Tinguely. A must see in Basel.
Great museum .. inspired to go after seeing Tinguely fountain and so glad I went!

Sie sind schon ungewöhnlich, die ausgefallenen, beweglichen Metallskulpturen von Jean Tinguely und als Attraktion sehr beliebt. Das Restaurant auf der unteren Etage ist auch ein Hit.
An jedem letzten Freitag des Monats spielen ab 16 Uhr renommierte Jazzgrössen in der jeweils laufenden Ausstellung .
Ein Museum in dem es rattert, quietscht und klappert :) Ganz sympathisch.

Offshoot of the main kunstmuseum. Not particularly interesting, especially if you're not into modern art. It's also 5 mins walk away from the 2 main buildings so it requires extra effort to visit. - Gabriel Seah
Southwest-facing set of steps along the Rhine which are a great place to sit down, have a picnic and watch the people and the swimmers go by on a summer's evening. - D D
