There are multiple ways to get to the lake . The ‘official’ trail starts in Silverthorne, however, there is an alternative hike from Meadow Creek in Frisco. Snowshoes a must during winter.
Don't be fooled by steep hill at start of hike . Relatively flat and easy course along a mostly wooded path to a couple nice mountain lakes . Watch out for roots, though - path is littered with them.

Keep an eye out for a herd of mountain goats. They can be seen at the summit of Buffalo Mt or at south willow creek falls. - Jeff Turton
