For a romantic evening dinner , wonderful cuisine and perfect service. Pricey but well worth it. The bar is pleasant and piano adds that extra nostalgic touch.
Get the oysters and their epic steak tartare for a totally French surf and turf ! The bistro is easier to get into than the restaurant (walk ins). Try and get seated outside in the summer.
One of Hemingway's favorite places in Paris, the restaurant could be a cliché. It isn't. Great place, nice staff , great French traditional menu. One of the best steak tartares and millefeuille ever! ❤
Like other Left Bank institutions (namely Les Deux Magots and Le Café de Flore) the Closerie des Lilas was where the intelligentsia hung out in the early 20th century.
excellent bar ! I came here after a heavy dinner in le Dome across the street and had a very good digestive cocktail : stinger and I loved it. Yes the drinks are pricey but it is totally worth it!
Although an unwelcoming attitude from the maitre, the vibe and food were great. A bit touristy but very nice. Excellent pianist as well .
The atmosphere is incredible here. Very historic, in that Ernest Hemingway frequented this charming establishment. It is unique and very special.
History. Susan George, Marcus Raskin, Richard Barnet and two dozen leading intellectuals who opposed the US war on Vietnam met here in October 1972 and founded TNI, the Transnational Institute.
Not only has it wonderful classical Parisian ambiance, the oysters and la soupe à l'oignon are fabulous. Top of its genre
Come here and pretend you're in the 20's and you see Hemingway and Fitzgerald at the other end of the bar . They're probably drunk so don't bother them.
The bartender was excellent and was such a pleasure to watch him make delicious cocktails . Dining outside on the patio was romantic and the service was great.
Get a cocktail . It's worth the high price. These bartenders know their stuff.
Just order buffalo tomato with mozzarella . And a big kind of surprise is waiting for u! Sorbet with basilica inside of a tomato ! Very delicious!
Somewhere precious for a priceless diner ! Beautiful piano melody in the air, and treasure food in your plate! Perfect experience :)
Best place for romantic dinner . Live music and excellent service
Finish your meal with a delicious Lila’s Cup — it’s an amazing lilac and raspberry sundae
The millefeuille is to die for! Foie gras terrine is very smooth and subtle. A bit pricey but well worth it
The food menu is quite pricey , but if you want to enjoy the atmosphere try going in between lunch and dinner for a café or wine .
Steak , Oysters , wines were great. It also has a very "French" atmosphere.
Authentic French restaurant with a history of its own. Amazing food, live music
You'll mostly find local Parisians in this discrete cafe . It's also where literates like Oscar Wilde and Hemingway used to come!
The best Escargot in Paris! ❤️????????????
Ernest Hemingway would come here to write his short stories and articles for the Toronto Star. Closerie became his „home caf é”. Read more
You hate or you love Hemingway but you have to get there to shoot incredible Art Déco work ! And enjoy the occasional drink !
Good food, beautiful terrasse
The ambience is what anyone comes here for. The food is a low standard for its price in Paris. Bye les Lilas
amazing.... but the waiter seemed like he had a rough day
Flavorful dishes you want to try!
À noter: salon privé, à l’étage.
Excellent service . Pricy but worth it.
Best French kitchen and red wine , piano bar as well
Amazing French food . Brasserie side is fun and buzzie, but bring your wallet; not cheap !
Amazing food, very fast and good service .
Pouilly fumé, such a good wine ! :)
Beautiful for romantic dinner
Place of great artists and musicians
Such a disappointment. I'm starting to think that all the legendary restaurants in Paris have become just touristic attractions , and they have no service or quality to offer. That's just too sad.
Nice place for a quick bite , not a very diverse menu and a bit of a tourist trap. Pianist is ok but have seen better
If you're a vegetarian , you'll die from hunger here :/
The bartenders are awesome, therefore order your favorite cocktail and be amazed!
Divine food! I love this restaurant ♥
A sign of Nazim Hikmet and yahya kemal.
Always good.
oeufs mayonnaise . Yum
Profiteroles
Grandeur !
Great food. Pricey
Traditionnal but good and relaxing ...
Oh my god, so slow!
2è visite et tjs cette même impression de grand restaurant avec une histoire. Plats excellents. cuisine simple mais riche. Service au top, il y a du monde autour de vous sans qu’ils vous gênent. Top!
authentic Parisian feel and a delicious beef tartare - what else do you need? - Diana Lopes
Cocktails, drinks, friendly service and relaxing music! The perfect spot for early drinks and meeting with friends! - Marinata
A great spot for petit dejeuner. Croissant, baguette, jam, cafe creme/tea and Juice for €7.80, better value than other places. C'est bon - James Bates
One of my favourite parks in Paris. A traditional French park but with some grass spots that are good for a picnic. - Melforss
Great spot for a leisurely time with tasty food and tea/coffee. Theysay you are either a Flore or a Deux Maggots person. I certainly am for Flore:) - Neylan Acar
One of the most beautiful fountains in Paris is in here. The four women in the top represent the four continents - excluding Oceania / The Pacific. The reason of this missing is totally esthetic! - Luana Suzina
