Phousi Temple is a temple Luang Prabang located in Laos.
Luang Prabang Laos
Great view from the top! If you take the path on the south side near the museum the path is gentle most of the way with steps the last bit. Much easier than the steep steps from the palace side!
Beautiful panoramic view of LP. Nice place to watch sunrise/sunset, but extremely crowded . Two entrances: one in front of the royal museum , other by the bar area. Climb from bar side isn't as steep.
Get into a gym a week before you come to Mount Phousi and do a lot of lounges in order to be ready to be ready to climb the stairs up. At the end is worth it. Great view of the city and the Mekong !
To reach the temple , you have to climb to the peak and people often go there to see the sunset over Khan river . So amazing sunset but the heat you know is just insane
Shorter climb from night market side than Namkhan river side . Climb before 5pm. Park your bicyle at the post office for 2K kip (don't pay more than that) n it will be guarded til after sunset . Lock it
A great place to see sunset . Plan to go there a bit earlier - 4:30, because you need to have a 5 mins staircase climb to the top.
A great mini glutes workout. Best time would be to leave around 5am to make the 6am subrise or catch a breathtaking sunset just before 6pm. Make sure you bring your camera along!
Nice views of Luang Prabang from here, but not sure it's worth 20,000 kip. Noticed the fee attendant was gone after sunset , so maybe its free after sunset ? Go early as crowds build at sunset .
Great climb and fantastic views of Luang Prabang. Take the longer route down to take in some extra Buddhas and caves and see Buddha's footprint.
Climbed up to the hill top to pray at the temple , and a good visit time is the evening to see the beautiful view of sunset .
Great view of sunset with mountains and the Mekong River in the background
The hill is open also during nighttime you could make a nice night photo shoot. Ticket office after sunset is close you don't need to pay entrance.
Great view early in the morning, best time to go as it is not filled with people.
Take the footsteps from the Nam Khan River side , than the main entrance.. It's a far easier climb .
Climb it during the day to avoid the crowds. The shade was well worth the climb .
Nice views of Luang Prabang . Sunsets gets crowded though.
Run up the steps right at sunset and you won't have to pay the entrance fee as the ticket ladies will be packing up then. Heh.
Nice place to have a great view of Luang Prabang ! A must-do.
Best to get there for sunset and find a good spot! In January sunset was around 17:30.
Very nice view , unfortunately too many people at sunset
if want sunset , at least u must go before 40minutes. NO seat.
About 400 steps to the top. Good view of the city and Mekong
Good place to take luang Prabang view . After 5pm is good...
Good lookout over the "city "
Nice Place UNESCO World Heritage
Do the hike
Not the best place to watch the Sunset , too many damn people. (try across the river off the tip of the peninsula, 100x better)
Breath taking view of Luang Prabang can be found here!
the magic spot for sunset
This place is starred by lonely planet
Best place for sunset at luang pra bang
