This is a speakeasy - look for a shelf of liquor bottles up on the second floor off the street for the secret door . The staff is very hospitable and will help you find the right drink for you.
Note though that we were charged a 500 yen cover charge per person upon receiving the bill, which wasn't clear from the start. Might be worth checking on that before you sit down.
Order the Mojito for real theatre - they use dry ice. Many of the cocktails are made using a type of tea local to Kyoto. When they serve the cocktails they list everything it’s made with. - Abigail Outhwaite
