Amazing! If it's your first time definitely go with the chef 's choice of toppings. The étouffée fries are a meal by themselves. The homemade ginger ale is perfect. Place gets a 10/10 in my opinion.
Had a delicious Guinness dog . Make sure to get the chef 's special and have them dress it. Wish I had the stomach space to try every hot dog on the menu
Even to this carnivore, the vegan apple sage sausage is delicious. And thr guiness dog is great, too. Trust the staff on how to dress it up.
(2/2) All the hot dogs your heart could desire and occupies a totally refashioned former gas station . Steamed German wieners and sausages on slightly sweet sourdough that are steamed and then toasted.
The Guinness dog is the best dog- or order whatever and have the chef dress it for you. Just don't skip out on the cheddar bacon ranch fries !!
If you forget to tell the person at the register your name, you can just go up to the delivery-people and give them a name (and describe your order). This will make it easier for them and faster.
Amazing selection of dogs (alligator ; tofu ) and brews. Delightful casual atmosphere . Try the Cajun mustard !
Woah, this place is awesome! I was worried to order the Chef Special but damn am I glad I trusted them! Best hotdog ever 💯
Everything is good! Ask the guys behind the counter for their reccomendations. You won't be dissapointed! Cheese fries are legit! Pair w/ an ice cold High Life: The champagne of beers !
Cash only , they have an ATM but I'd bring some cash if you can, why waste $2.50 just to get cash? Every dog is amazing and they all run about $7.50 regardless of toppings
Brand new place. Nice open, informal atmosphere. I like music and the vibe. We will see how the veggie dog tastes. Stay tuned ...
Whatever dog you choose - tell them you want Chefs Choice. They will top the dog with the PERFECT toppings.
Crawfish sausage + guacamole + tomato + jalapeño + bacon = pure happiness
All the hot dogs your heart (and stomach) could desire. Also sausages and other sorts of deliciousness. [Eater 38 Member]
The alligator hotdog is on fire. Also, Dat Dog has the sweetest bread . Top it with a chef 's choice. Definitely a Nola must-eat.
Try the alligator sausage with crawfish etouffe topping and a cold abita amber!
The hot dogs are good, widest variety I have seen so far, the ambience is nice, open and casual , the fillings are awesome.
I can't wait to go back! I had the smoked sausage (a lil boring😔I know) I want to try the Guinness one next time!👍👍
Love the guinness dog and the bacon chedder ranch fries . Save yourself the trouble and ask them to dress it for you
The hot dog bun is the best part! DELICIOUS!! You have to get an alligator dog. Friendly hawaiian shirt wearing staff !
If you're here visiting NOLA put Dat Dog on your list of "must do". If you're local, you already know! Don't forget, cash only !

Great custom dogs. Cheese fries are great. Happy hour dogs are a steal.

No tip needed, everything it delicious! If I had to suggest something, it's be the crawfish etouffee topping, can't be beat!
The price is a bit high for what you get, but it’s a quality hot dog .

A. Maze. Ing. I'm from Wisconsin and previously believed no one could ever beat a Wisconsin Brat . I was wrong. The buns really make it!
Guinness dog w/ jalapeño Sauerkraut creole mustard , andouille , and cheese . Oh and don't forget bacon .
My fav: hot bratwurst with chili , cheese , onions , ketchup , mustard , and sweet relish =D
Really, one of the best hot dogs I've ever had and I don't really like hot dogs . A must visit when on Feret!
Order carefully. The recipes seem very busy. So start simple and don't go for the gusto until you know what you're getting into. But good over all!
All the fixings you can imagine. Plus a few others.
I recommend Chef 's Choice. They know what they're doing. Hot Sausage dog is awesome
Get the Zat Dog! (add chipotle mayo & bacon because, why not?)
Duck sausage was awesome. Had bacon and a fruit chutney and was so good
Guinness Dog is really great. They don't take cards at this location
Try the spicy veggie dog chefs choice. Trust me.
Greatt people and alligator sausage all the way dressed by the chef .
Once Robin Williams ate here and the comedy theater across the street acted like he was performing there.
Crawfish etouffee all the things! Also nectar soda with ice cream yum yum.
Happy hr is 2 for 1 draft beer ! And they give you tokens ;)
Prices are kinda high for what you get. They also seem smaller. The dog's are very good. They are cash only
Get the crawfish dog and tell them to dress it how they recommend to (minus ketchup ). It's BEYOND good
