If you want traditional Latvian food for cheap moneys, try Lido bistro . My favourites are liver/potato pudding , cabbage roll and some fish dishes . Try oat flake cream in berry sauce for a dessert .

Fairly cheap cageteria food. There are few Lido shops in the city but this one is larger one that is not far from the freedom square. Good food.

This is the place to eat to truly feel latvian. Recommend the cheap buckwheat, salad bar where you can stuff whatever you want on and the chicken croquettes. Soup is affordable here too. - Andre S
