Be warned about climbing the towers and kissing the Blarney Stone if you're scared of heights. Beautiful grounds, fun castle to explore, amazing views . Muddy when raining, so wear the right shoes .

Marissa

Pretty cool - I figured I definitely had to do it while in Ireland. Get there early because it gets packed. Also stairs are very narrow! Pretty crazy if you're claustrophobic. Good experience though

Denissa Goh

Be careful of the steep narrow spiral steps when climbing up the castle especially during winter bc it's slippery. Tip: get a friend to take a photo of u kissing the rock if u can't afford the print .

Sydney

The grounds are beautiful, poison garden is a must. The stairs are very tight and steep to get to the top but there's several places to move to side rooms and get your bearings . View from top is great

Yarn Lam

Castle grounds are vast - can spend a whole day hiking around here! Was nice climbing around the various parts of the ruins to see how life was like in the old days.

Michelle Geaney

Beautiful part of the country - love the poison gardens and the Stone . The walk around is amazing- wishing steps , and see fabulous flora and fauna etc. But do not leave without kissing the stone !!

Jason O'Brien

GET HERE EARLY. No, I'm not joking and yes, that is all caps. We were walking to the castle @ 9:04am and it still took us about 20 minutes to get to the stone . Plan ahead and GET THERE EARLY!!!

KT Florida

The line gets longer as the day goes on, but overall worth the wait! Have someone take your picture instead of paying for the one they take.

Michael Fox-Rabinovitz

Great historical site , and an absolutely fantastic garden and park . The house in the gardens behind the castle is quite worth seeing as well

JNET

Lots to see after you visit the castle . Visit the Poison Garden . Look for the witches stone , wishing steps and the giant giant table :)

Alexander Georgiev

Don't fall for the stone kissing thing, but instead take your time to walk around the gardens , it's a great experience

Masha Krupskaya

do kiss the stone , at least for the fun! castle grounds are amazing and well worth the ticket price, can easily spend a few hours rambling about.

Brendan Clements

Amazing. But don’t bring a baby into the castle , very steep and narrow stairs

Petrina Impekoven-Poley

really nice place, especially the Rock Close with the Domen, the Steps of Wish, very old trees and a mystic feeling - visiting Cork is not complete without Blarney Castle and its park

Carl Griffin

Dramatic ruins of the castle with the shell of the keep still standing proud. Kissing the Blarney stone is a must.

Christian Ziggy

Buss to city center is right out of the castle . You can stop at Blackpool mall and have something to eat a lot cheaper after visiting the Castle .

Peter Donegan

Go find the waterfall with the ferns.... Garden grounds are stunning. Needs around 4 hours to really see it all

Ralitsa Ivanova

Castle not so big and house open only 10-2pm but gardens were absolutely fantastic! Save 3-4 hrs for good walks

Gernot B.

Worth the visit! Came here in October and wasn't crowded at all. Nice gardens .

TW ✈️????????

The castle grounds are amazing! Make time to take the nature walks through the gardens !

Kyle Hart

The entire grounds were beautiful. It was so much more than the Blarney Stone . Go after 1700 for no crowd.

Barry Whelan

Had a really nice time here. The kids loved it, all the beautiful walks and the nature. We should have brought a picnic . The day was beautiful.

Kushal Sanghvi

More than the castle it's the green walks that are fab!!!!

Anita

Be prepared to queue (and brace yourself for the tricky staircase) if you want to kiss the Blarney Stone !

Travel with Wendy

Love the gardens , castle was fun too, vertigo as you go up the stairs ;/

Cailyn Conely

November 7th 2012 my boyfriend proposed to me at the top of Blarney Castle ! We loved the climb and scenery!

Mathieu Abitbol

Nice gardens and you can kiss thousands of people at once by kissing the stone

Peter Boyce

Kiss the Blarney Stone , enjoy the garden walk

Didier Danloy

Very nice garden but be aware it's not free. Around 12€ for the entrance.

Katie

Wear some strong hiking boots . Its slippery and rocky up the winding stone staircase to the top where you kiss the stone .

Lisa Rider

You need to be somewhat fit and wear sensible shoes to get to the blarney stone .

David G

Very nice gardens , not as expected. Even kissing the stone didnt involve excessive queuing!

Chris Ortiz

Be prepared to cough up €10 for a photo because they don't let people take photos from the perfect angle.

Patricio

Expect a line to enter the castle and kiss the stone . But worth the wait.

Keith Pitt

Beautiful place. Take a decent camera :)

Looks like a few of the poison garden plant have committed suicide !

Candice Rivera

Whimsical and mysterious!

John Uzzi
