What out for the unclear sign posting from Thalys to Eurostar. Come off the Thalys , head downstairs and the Eurostar is to the left. If your wondering about in a massive long hall you've gone too far.

In case you miss your connection because of delays with the Belgian railways (happens all the time), get your ticket stamped by NMBS / SNCB Customer Care and be rebooked on the next Eurostar service.

They've moved the entrance temporarily. Poor choice of eating options inside so go for something else in the station.

Very nice Terminal. Good trains , on-time, easy access , easy drops by cars or taxi , display screens everywhere for departure timings . Comfortable trains , fast & convenient.

Arrive in plenty of time. Just like an airline check in and security. Biometric passport scanners can take some time so be patient

Get a coffee while you're waiting and enjoy the free WiFi . Wish they would give free WiFi on the train as well though ;-)

Don't bother checking in until the last minute. Dated, dark and dingy with only a coffee shop available once past security

They really need to improve the waiting area after check-in, no natural light , no WiFi , no power sockets, no TV screens . Like being in a bunker.

If we want people to take the train instead of planes ... perhaps the experience should be improved. A lot.

You can withdraw GBP with ATM at the waiting area. No need to wait in the long queue before the border control. ;-p

If you're looking for Eurostar, leave enough time. Signposting and visitor info is lousy at this station and it is also very dingy. The Eurostar check in is actually called 'channel '. Bizarre.

Get ready for airport-like security check (belt, watch, phone, keys... Out). At least there's no more segregation between EU citizens.

Book your tickets more than 12 hours in advance to get a seat reservation !

Check-in at least 30 minutes before departure time . At the terminal, not on foursquare! :D

Don't arrive too early for your train . You can't check in early and there is little to do in the terminal.

Unhelpful staff , fussy process, everything is rushed, full of English idiots.

Espace Cafe has power points for customers - a god send for me today with a flat netbook and phone and no way to let work know that I'd been delayed half a day!

This place could use some refurbishing, everything is old and falling apart . Quite sad, really

Don't use the ATM to withdraw foreign currency, the exchange rates are horrible! It's cheaper to use your Maestro card with the machines at your destination.
