Bring plenty of food & water...I suggest more than you think you need. Start early...it takes about 10 hours total to hike up and back with a moderate pace and rest breaks.
A serious ass kicker of a trail ! Phone gets clear reception so Pandora streams great during the uphill hike
Great hike to First Water and back. 4 miles up and down & 1000 feet elevation . If you have more time, continue on up to Manzanita Ridge & back. That would make the hike 12 miles round trip .
The views are stupendous, you can see the the majority of the city from up top.
It's beautiful up there but please don't litter while hiking . Thank you
Steady incline all the way. Go early because there's no shade
It's starting to warm-up. Get out there early or late (before dark) and enjoy a nice hike .
Steep not that scenic
Moderate hike , 7.5 miles round trip .

Bring a trashbag for yourself and for your dog. Be kind to nature. - Christine Abrego
Small park but with a nice steep trail that gives you good views over the valley. Go up to the ruins of the Troop cabin - makes a good spot for a picnic. - eric bornemann
A few tough switchbacks but well worth the awesome view over Pasadena. Come on a clear day after rain and you can see clear to Catalina Island. - Schyler Orr
