Beautiful hotel right on bourbon st. GREAT location , very friendly and attentive staff . The manager even sent champagne and strawberries to our room for my 40th birthday!5 stars definitely recommend
Nice hotel for couples and singles. Kids are not a great idea here. The location's front door being on Bourbon makes it really easy to get in on the action. The hotel staff are very friendly .
Nice hotel , helpful & friendly staff , great location! Malcolm the door man is awesome!! Tip: Let the shower run for about 15mins if u want a hot shower otherwise its lukewarm
The point is to have a room overlooking Bourbon Street so book here well in advance. If you’re worried about the noise , have one or two in the front & the rest facing the courtyard and pool out back. Read more
While the Royal Sonesta won our respect with comfortable beds and great security, they won our hearts with a complimentary happy hour on the roof each evening. Read more
Hotel is so pretty! I don't think the rooms are worth $400 a night but the hotel it's self is beautiful!
There's definitely a lot to desire about the hotel 's Desire Bistro & Oyster Bar . It offers scrumptious Louisiana seafood specialties, New Orleans' creole recipes and more.
Beautiful sitting area in the middle - would love to sit with a drink and read.
This is a great hotel in a great location. However, as of Sept 13, 2015, the hotel is undergoing a major renovation and we were awoken every day at 9:00am by drilling and hammering. Beware.
Cool to hang out in Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse. There's a $15 cover if you're not a hotel guest but def worth it!
Beautiful hotel , great spot on Bourbon St. We were in a balcony room on Bourbon St which was awesome for people watching and some bead throwing.
I've stayed here at least 10 times. Location is great, staff is too. Rooms on Bourbon St., even on the 5th floor, are very noisy . Hotel needs to deal with homeless in front of property sleeping.
a great place to stay if you want to be on Bourbon Street... always clean and staff is great. Only drawback is noise depending on time of year, but it is NOLA!
Great hotel bar and jazz lounge . The cocktails are good.
Great hotel within FQ, but you are right on bourbon so be prepared for noise , but more often than not, you will be the one making it
Ride these to the floor your room is on. Or to the third floor for the pool. Or to the lobby. Or the parking garage , etc.
If you value your sleep, don't book a street-facing room. The noise level was absurd and went all night long. Go for a courtyard room with a view of the pool instead.
Great staff , central location, terrific grits . Makes life in the Quarter simple.
Great place for people watching during Mardi Gras - make friends with someone in a balcony room !
If you pass the hotel itself, heading towards Canal on Bourbon , there is a small adjunct bar that is perfect for football watching away from crowds. Also, a damn fine bloody mary .
great place to have sex with someone who is using an expense account.
Enjoy crazy Bourbon Street from the view of the Royal Sonesta's Mayfield’s Jazz Playhouse. There's no cover for Hotel guests!
Good facilities and events staff .
Inner covered courtyard with a fountain is a good place to relax .
As always Sonesta is like home
A Hum on the rocks after dinner is a great way to end your evening of Jazz at Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse
Great location on bourbon street!
Great Christmas decoration in hotel corridor!
Great location and nice rooms
At the Irvin Mayfield Jazz playhouse great music loving this jazz group!!
Balconies over French Quarter.
Renovated, great location.
Courteous friendly staff .
I love this place its beautiful and the service is wonderful!!!
Right on bourbon street!
Not pleased. Works on Conti Street (from 7am!) which we were not informed of. Staff bordering on rude, and extremely bad concierge . Situated on Bourbon Street, noise comes in through windows. :-(
Don't stay here if you're looking for quiet . Nice rooms.
Weddings here are beautiful!!
Malcolm likes to get pvt cabs for non speaking guest who charge 4x what a regular cab charges not cool!!
Irving mayfield jazz
Prepare yourself for this ridiculousness by bending over and grabbing your ankles.
Ask for Vinny. He will hook you up.
Right in the Heart of all the action!
No better place to spend Mardi Gras . Malcolm the door man is the MAN on Bourbon !
Look out for the attached bar...very pricey cocktails compared to the rest of Bourbon .
LOVE MALCOM THE DOORMAN
Come listen to the jazz !
Try the ice. Delicious
Grab a Cigar and people watch
This is THE Dress Circle seating during Mardi Gras ...;-)

Great rooms and the beds were super comfy! I wish there was at least a fridge in the room, but overall a great experience! Super close to Bourbon St and the entire hotel staff was super nice - Andrea Cupolo
beautiful rooms with a great view and the most intensely cold air conditioning i have ever experienced - Amber
Excellent turtle soup hours well with oysters on half shell. Careful with the horseradish. HOT! - Christopher Markley
Hurricane drink is the go to. Just off bourbon street it is an original. Must go to when in New Orleans - Matthew Coll
