Great personable people. They gave us great recommendations for around the city . Everything is good, from the rye bread , to the salmon , to the homemade ginger strawberry jam .
No visit to Stavanger without visiting Ostehuset øst! Relaxed atmosphere , lovely salads and cheese , perfect bread . The only thing I don't like is the carrotcake.
My favorite eatery in Stavanger! Great lunch and dinner courses, also vegan .
Very nice set up with very good food.............. like having a meal at the farmers market but waaaaayyyyy more upmarket :-) Definately a restaurant to visit....

Brunch menu is excellent.
The is another down town , but this is the most spacoius one. Very cool café , serves great food too!
Try their cheese cake it is superbe. Also try their chicken and Bacon with aioli warm

Avoid 3pm on a Sunday. It can get very crowded and service can be very very slow
