Yes, it's expensive , but you get to see the kiwis ! Go at feeding time and hear a brief talk and watch them eat. The park is small but nice with nice habitats for the birds and a few reptiles.
It was definitely an experience to look at kiwi bird in person ! The conservation is not too big but fun to walk around
Worth the admission price-- $$ goes to conservation after all! Saw the 11am conservation show and the kiwi feeding , and walked around the entire site. Really enjoyed it.

Get here before 11am to have time foe conservation bird show, then walk around, then see a kiwi feeding .

Amazing views from the top. A good option is to walk the track up to the top (about an hour of steep hills) and then just pay 15nzd for the gondolla to go down - Juan Rubio
