Great place to camp with groups through make sure to pick a site that is more secluded. We got a great spot at site 78 and couldn't of had more fun. Also be aware they require two night reservations .
Pelton pond only 1.5 miles short but beautiful trail esp. In October would like to go back midweek to avoid campers but would miss out on the smell of campfires <3 love that
Beautiful park with a nice and quiet campground . View the sunrise above the Pelton pond or Canopus lake , hike , fish and rejoice the natural beauty of the New York State .
Beautiful state park located just 50min north of NYC via an eye pleasing drive on the Taconic State Parkway. Camp grounds, Cross country skiing & miles of trails . Enjoy!
Rent cross-country skis here in the winter and glide around the frozen lakes . In the summer bring a picnic and swim in the lake !
It's a great place to take the kids on a mild day, with lots of ponds and lakes for fishing and hiking trails to burn off some energy.
Park at the south end of Canopus lake and head South on the AT for some great 3-8 mile loop hikes . Head north for a less-traversed out and back.
Outstanding. Facilities are small but clean . Outdoor wood burning fire pit . Friendly staff .
Winter hiking is worth it to have the trail to yourself one of my favorite places when I need to be put in time out :0)

Nice fairly flat loop with wide trails for most of it. Some rocky parts but nothing crazy. The leaves are changing fast. - christine s
The 2,178 mile long trail has plenty of opportunity to take in gorgeous scenery. Make sure to lace up your Michelin Pilot Sport shoes for ideal tractions while hiking. - Michelin Lifestyle
