The accident happened down the road - there is another Swarm and Foursquare check in for that one called “James Dean Car Crash Site”

Sadly vandals have made off with some of the inscription, but still a nice spot to stretch your legs if your unlucky enough to be motoring across CA-46

There is another Foursquare and Swarm check in called “James Dean Car Crash Site” as this isn’t the actual place. It is further down the road .

The road has since been changed over the years for safety reasons and the actual crash would have been back in the field . Not exactly where the sign sits.

This spot is haunted I think. I had no clue it was there but as we approached I started getting really weird vibes of "head on accident ."

Not much out here. The accident happened farther down and the monument is just a twisted metal bar . I didn't try the restaurant next to it but there is food if you need it.

Be careful driving through here. People don't pay attention and the parking lot can be dangerous.

Have to stop & pay your respect to the original rebel. I mean..damn..James Dean died right there. James Dean.

I created this spot! I'm glad people are checking it! I was hoping it wouldn't go unnoticed! :D Anyway, this spot is or entire highway is a terrible drive at night! Careful!
