Union Market is a diamond in the rough in Northeast DC. A variety of artisan food and craft vendors, my favorite being Takorean , serving Korean-style tacos . A great place to spend an afternoon.
I love me some Union Market. It's around the block from my house which is uberly convenient. I love the ice cream shop . The best ice cream around. The Korean Taco shop is awesome as well .
TaKorean and DC Dosa are solid. For sure grab a sweet nibble from CoCo Sala and a container of chickpea chorizo salad from the charcuterie/sandwich spot in the back left corner of the market .
It's far from central DC, but has ample free parking . There isn't a ton of seating if you visit one of the smaller stalls versus one of the bigger "restaurants ". Great place to hang out and chill .
Amazing selection of food, drinks, gifts , and so much more. Week days are much more quiet than weekends. There is something for everyone! Don't forget to post your 'so cute ' pictures to instagram.
The fresh pressed Kale juice at Goshen is fantastic!!! One of the nicest juices i have had in a long while!
Empanadas , arepas , dosa , ice cream , Korean tacos -- thats just what I was able to try. Wonderful farm to table recipes and a great location for either a date or to bring your friends. 💛💛💛
Go hungry! So much great food and drink to try in this place! Plus there is lots of parking , so don't be scared away by what appears to be big crowds on the surrounding streets.
Literally everything. The best brisket in the city . Amazing Korean tacos , and great seafood .
Always tons of events going on. Any food here is awesome and delicious. Great place to just walk around but it can get packed when it's nice out.
Super unique and quite a good time looking at all the various food vendors and stores. Ended up buying some plants amd enjoy an acai bowl .
Amazing selection of food! Try the bbq stand (brisket + sweet potatoes ) and the smoked fish counter (whitefish salad with Asian pears )!
HVig some delish oysters , white wine , and decidig what to follow up with. Some gravlox, more wine ... you know, the "youjh". A good way to unwind after an awesome vip tour of the Capitol Building !
Union Market, a year-round communal market , provides fresh produce , freshly squeeze juices and smoothies , and freshly prepared cultural delights to locals and tourists in the Washington DC area.
Everything was delicious. Ate at the locally grown and sustained Bidwell Restaurant (select veggies grown on the roof) and bought some items from a black owned raw vegan vendor, Goshen
This patio has all the makings of perfection. If you buy libations from Suburbia, you can sit at their designated tables. Otherwise, help yourself to the unreserved tables in the common area. Read more
It's hard to go wrong with any of the constantly changing options here. DC Empanadas , Red Apron , Mason Dixie, Maketto, and the BBQ Joint are some of my favorites.
"Grab a glass of punch and a knish ($7) during happy hour at Buffalo & Bergen, Gina Chersevani’s Brooklyn-inspired soda fountain inside Union Market (Tuesday-Friday, 4-7 p.m.)."-via Daily Candy
Literally everything. I've been here several times. Brunch is ridiculous. Dinner is great. Happy Hour is great. They are definitely winning.
The smoked hummus at Neopol is maddeningly good and completely genius. Also keep an eye out for smoked olives and some fantastic varieties of smoked fish . This is happy food.
Absolutely fantastic! The vibe is New York at its best! Union Market showcases the best in DC - in cuisine, design and even small business innovation.
Crowded place, many options for delicious food. Good for groups .
Incredible selection of any cuisine available. Such a fun space with so many vendors and places to relax , eat, and socialize.
Good crispy Brussels from the philly cheesteak place
Great dosas . Wash it down with a mango mint lassi
Tripp place to hang out, shop for goods, and get delicious food. Takorean tacos are an absolutely amazing combo of flavors!
Sloppy Mama's BBQ is some good eats. Get a pulled pork sandwich and drown it in Carolina sauce.
A hipster place . What I liked about this place is that it is hard of hearing friendly , it is very common to see people using sign language.. The food is good
Union Market, thank you for only being 4 blocks from my house. Eat at Bidwell . You stomach will thank you. Your wallet will not.
I ate at the French crepe place and got the vegetarian option ...so good! Lots of good choices for food here!
This place is an amazing indoor food market . The Dosas , Korean Tacos and Bread Pudding are all wonderful booths .
Awesome millennial spot to visit. Go to DC empanadas ! Bidwell has great brunch . Don't miss the Amish ice cream .
Seating indoors is sparse - come planning to eat outside on a nice day! Outdoor seating turns over quickly.
A great selection of food. Nice place to hang out for a while and relax. Try something new!
So many things to try! Will certainly be back to check out more shops - get here early to get good seats!
Understanding the history of this area - this is a incredible change - take advantage of this new opportunity - and explore the area
Lovely place with plenty of restaurant choices ... excellent place to have a fast bit
With new restaurants coming up every time i visit .. this def is one of my best food labs / eu style markets around :)
This place has finally grown up. Nearly every stall filled. Try the DC dosa , if you want a quick bite and don't want to queue.
Lots of pricey artisan food and drinks. A few times a year they have clothing and furniture vendors in the back. Don't go expecting to find a deal!
They have everything. I especially love the fish wives. Always a great selection and fresh.
Had lunch at Bidwell ; excellent food and service. Desperately needs more than 1 restroom to support the many, many patrons who visit the venue.
Love this place! Lots of starter companies from people tempting to make their way. Food is outstanding here!
Try a Knish and a house made Fig soda at Buffalo & Bergen 😋
Such an awesome space. Takorean tacos are delicious. Loved the frozen drinks at Suburbia.
Get lunch at Rappahannock Oyster Co! You won't be disappointed.
A great spot for groups given the variety of food and drink vendors--something for everyone!

Get here after 4pm to avoid the crowds! You don't want to miss this spot when you're in town .
nice place to hang out with variety of food and great to go and grab a drink
I love that they do both large cube and crushed ice in the iced lattes. Great for quick cold drink without getting watery ever. Can't go wrong with the vanilla latte! And their new pastries are fab!!! - Elizabeth Rice
Chef's table and the tasting menu is a must. Chef Mooney really takes care of his guests. - Sean Dalton
Great open space with dining options. Think of a food hall but done the right way - Rae
