A MUST-visit if you are in Panama City . Only about 15 minutes from downtown and well worth it. In the morning there were plenty of ships passing through. Could not recommend more.
Enjoy to see the movie displayed on site before going to the terrace to see the ships . Inquire about the times that the ships are going there before.
It's a staring/gawking contest between people hanging over the side of the Miraflores building balcony and the people baking on the boat, waiting for the locks to do their thing. Amazing! But it isn't
The Panama Canal is one of the top public works projects in the world. Visit the The Miraflores Visitors Center to learn how the canal operates and get a close up view of the ships !
Visit the new restaurant Atlantic & Pacific Co . The food and the view are equally impresive.
Arrive before noon for boats going towards the Atlantic and 3:15 for boats towards the Pacific
Movie is good, the museum is alright. Seeing the massive ships coming through is awesome, but get there early - the terrace gets very busy.
Definitely wait to watch a ship go through, its pretty neat. Exhibits and 3D video are all right, but the canal steals the show
Atlantic Pacific Co . was closed at 4:30 on a Sunday. However, the museum and viewing area was still open at 5:30. If you visit late, plan on being flexible.
A most if you visit Panama! Really amazing the logistics around how a ship cross from one ocean to another!
If you want to touch the canal wall, make sure you are tall enough and don't touch the stinky wet part. You get a certificate signed by da ship captain for crusing through this canal .
*The terrace on the top floor has the best view .*Visit the museum , it's worth it.*Call ahead to make sure there's ships passing thru at the time of your visit.
Visit only before 9:30 and after 2pm, best time to see the "Panamax" transits. Go to the 4th floor, terrace , there is the best view
Just marvel at the levy system...you'd be surprised by how fascinating it is.
I was amazed. Kadus panama
Amazing to watch the locks in action as a ship passes through.
Make sure that boats are going through when you're here ... there is a small window in the middle of the day when they are switching directions.
Make reservations at the restaurant for best view (around 130pm)
Get real-time information on the ships passing through at marinetraffic.com. They also capture key stats like size etc. Read more

Make sure to touch the wall web ur in the canal !
A must see.
The view of the Canal from the 2nd Floor restaurant terrace is amazing...

Excelente para un domingo. Recomendarlo a amistades extranjeras.
Visita obligatoria. Ojalá planearlo para poder ver barcos grandes o cruceros .
