Trails aren't that bad, even with machine made snow. Leave plenty of time to get on the mountain during holidays; rental staff is pretty slow. Ski school for the kids was awesome.
Lots of slopes for all levels of skiers ! Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Ski during the Twilight session on a weekday to get the slopes to yourself!
Have in mind something. *This is NOT a pro/advanced/expert mountain . This is a beginners and regular skiers .
If you can come on an empty weekend you might get free lessons-from ski patrol! My stepmom did. Also on the last day of the season they have free food. Very cool.
awesome slopes #bestinnc but the staff was so nice!!???????????? ???? ❤️I love it here!! Staying with the best uncle ever!!!
Was my first place for skiing , loved the lodge we stayed in, lovely place.
Ski Sugar later in the season & stay in the condos at the top of Big Red. Walk out your back door on to the top of the run; do it late night or early morning to avoid crowds. Short drive from ATL.
Avoid the mid-day crowds in the lodge eating line by going upstairs. Still great food, smaller selection, cash-only... but much faster!
Best slopes in North Carolina! So fun and great staff .
The twilight is the best value for your money hardly anybody stays that late And therefore NO LINES!!!!!
NC's only double diamond run is Sugar Mountain's Whoopdedoo. Looking for something tamer? Try tubing, ice skating or snowshoeing.
Watch out for the mean olympian lady. If you accidentally run into her she will get your lift ticket taken away.
Oh my gosh love my room and our cabin !! It's been so long since I've been here!!
Best in NC.
Watch out for the rent-a-cop....no boards inside!!!! Lmao
Come with a staff member!
This isn't even that close to sugar, nice try

Great variety in slopes. I disagree with this being a good place for beginners though, as the easier slopes are still a little intense to learn on. - Kevin Brill
This place is nice, although, it gets packed!! Get there early!!! - Bebo González
This is a great place to relax on breaks while skiing, however the prices are a little higher than normal. - Matthew Clark
Very helpful staff not a lot of inventory but the staffs knowledge and caring more than make up for it. Ask for Mark Newton he really hooked me up with the best stuff - Dave Everett
