I enjoyed the atmosphere and the inside of Bangkok Gardens. If you are going for lunch , ask for their lunch combo , which 1 entree + 2 huge egg rolls with a purchase of a $2 or greater drink for $13.
if you're in the market for phat thai , go for the peanut sauce phat thai over the classic. the peanut sauce is incredible, and while it's a little spicier, you can always go down on the spice scale.
Coconut curry , you'll love it or you're in the wrong restaurant . Beware spice level varies so order a Thai iced coffee & thank yourself later.
Surprisingly its bar is fully equipped, and bartenders are amazingly talented. This place has a potential in turning into a great bar !
If you like spicy , they can take care of you. Heat does vary - it depends on how fresh the habaneros are!#13 w/beef is my standby. Squash curry in the winter is great!
Food is great & portions here are big enough for another full meal of leftovers. The creamy coconut chicken soup is really good.
The food is not at all authentic Thai but more some kind of fusion, which strongly tends to being "Americanized" (with ingredients like oyster sauce rather than fish soy, etc.). Look elsewhere.
Can't go wrong with classic Phat Thai !
