Lotus Temple (Bahá'í House of Worship) is a spiritual center New Delhi located in India.
Bahapur, Kalkaji New Delhi 110019 Delhi India
It is a very recent architectural marvel of the Bahai faith and is Lotus shaped and has rightly been given the name. It is made of marble , cement, dolomite & sand. 9 am to 6 pm, closed on Mondays.
With this level of busyness, it's hardly serene and quiet to pray or meditate but more of getting yourself physically and mentally challenged. 2.5/10 pts recommended on Delhi's top spots.
It serves as the Mother Temple of the Indian subcontinent. Inspired by the lotus flower , its design is composed of 27 free-standing marble clad "petals" arranged in clusters.
A must see. The temple and gardens around it are beautiful, Inside it's a quiet atmosphere . Even if you do not pray or meditate , the quietness inside the temple is relaxing.
The famous Lotus temple of Delhi is one of the seven Baha'i Houses of Worship in the world. It is Asia’s one and only Bahai Temple . Fact is the cost of building the Lotus Temple was Rs. 10 million.
Beautiful Baha'i temple ! It's actually free to visit. Be prepared to take your shoes off as you walk in and to be silent in the temple .
Lotus Temple is one of the most wonderful picnic spot in Delhi as the gardens and the ponds are really calm and quiet . The temple remains open from 9 am to sunset .
A must-see. The security line can be long but moves quickly. Closed Mondays. Serenity found inside.
One of the most visited buildings in the world, this is a beautiful temple in New Delhi that you must definitely visit. People of all faiths and religions are welcome here to meditate and pray.
Wonderful architecture , long queues to get in even on weekdays, very crowded , be aware of Indians trying to take secret selfies with you!
Humans of any caste are welcome to meditate here . There is no idol or picture of any particular god . It's maintained very neat n clean .u also have people explaining to u about it .
Beautiful structure , making full justice with providing a pin drop silence in that aggravation surrounding us. Best for quick visit. Cuz they don't have waiting time.

Being able to serve this Baha'i House of Worship was truly an unforgettable experience. Come all to pray and meditate as there is nothing sweeter in the world of existence than the state of prayer.
Free entrance but unfortunately long line to get in(if u are alone u can try to jump the line like i did).the structure is nice but nothing to see inside, most Indians come here to pray
On Mondays closed. On other days (summer) entry closes at 18.30, and you should leave till 19.00. Cigarettes are not allowed, better leave them at hotel (there is no locker).
The architect Fariburz Sabha chose the lotus as a symbol common to Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Islam. Members of any faith are free to visit the temple to pray or meditate .
