A great relaxing place to hang out! The area is quite large and diverse: there's a pond for casual fishing , a botanical gardens indoors and out, a playground for kids, benches , and a fountain !
Although the park was originally named Central Park , in 1912 the park was renamed after the first secretary of the Davenport Park Board of Commissioners, A.W. Vander Veer.
