I went last Saturday and Sunday with my family. It was beautiful beach and water seem more cleaner than Montrose Beach that i went last summer. It seem more calmer for me
This is the quick and easy beach for high schoolers in the city . However there are options for much less crowded and much more cleaner beaches in this area such as Montrose and Loyola beach .
Baby friendly . Take the path between the bathrooms and leave your stroller at the end of the boardwalk. Umbrella and chair rentals available for $15 and $10 all day.
Love watching the waves and ice crash over the snow-covered beach in the winter
very chill beach with a diverse crowd . family friendly and great for spending an afternoon with a good book .

Great outdoor fun for the family, plenty of spaces available for a picnic and parking is available.
The most family-friendly beach . Lots of (paid) parking . Be sure to admire the amazing mosaic mural on Foster Avenue below Lake Shore Drive.
Difficult to watch the beach erode particularly during a time when due to Covid we are not allowed to walk in the sand. Very sad.
It’s a bit further north so less crowded than the beaches closer to downtown.

best time to go is in the morning, 10:30ish on weekdays. quiet , chill , plenty of parking and no kids parties.

So much better than Montrose. Montrose gets crowded & owners don't pay attention to their unruly dogs. Foster dog beach great place to bring the pup & the kiddos. - Jessica Rickard Isaacson
