The sacred Waimea Valley, in Haleiwa, HI, is at the center of ancient Hawaiian history. This 1,875-acre park holds many historic archaeological sites, a world-class botanical garden, and a 45-foot waterfall—all while serving as a wildlife refuge for many of Hawaii’s endangered animals...

The hike to the waterfall seems longer than 3/4 of a mile, but it's worth the view , both along the way and at the waterfall . Also, the water stays cold.
Swimming up to the waterfall is a cinch. But getting that perfect pose on the rocks is a little tricky. Best place to stand and pose for the camera is that flat rock at the centre of the waterfall .
Go see the hybrid hibiscus section, its off to the other side if the river from the parking lot . Its amazing, waterfall is pretty, didn't swim because I had a cut. Garden is beautiful, bring a camera .
You can swim , but make sure you get a vest from the lifeguards. Tip them!!!
Other than Leptospirosis bacteria , the pool area has lots of slippery rocks that you can't see. Be careful entering and exiting, otherwise you can easily injure yourself.
Take the time to explore the side paths, most of the cool plants and sights are off the main road to the falls.
Quite small waterfall , but if you like you can swim into it.
We enjoyed the entire experience. Slow beautiful stroll through a botanical garden .
A great hike and a nice waterfall at the end.
Waterfall itself a bit underwhelming, but the hike is worth it. Dont get the shuttles unless you really need them, you will miss so much
The park closes at 6pm, but the water fall closes at 5pm!!!
Definitely do the moon walk if you can. It's truly amazing.
Leptospirosis bacteria may be present in the water. Do not drink the water and keep water out of open wounds (including small scratches) and eyes.
Well worth the short hike to the waterfalls
Waterfall is quite small..
Beautiful paved hike to falls
Refreshing, life jackets , beautiful, flowers
Good nature hike
Not accessible whatsoever ever it was very disappointing after the long hike
Not worth it! Can't jump into the pond below and you have to wear a life preserver.
Meh.... ok to go, but I wouldn't swim there.
not worth the admission price or the walk.
Overpriced, underwhelmed.
Meh. Don't waste your time/money.
Of all the must see places we've visited in Hawaii this was one of if not the coolest. We will come back anytime we get a chance to come back to Hawaii - Robert
Jump away from the rock. This is also an awesome wedding pic. - Chuck Simmons
Perfect place to se the albatross and the sunset! - Ricardo Jerez
Beautiful place and the most reasonably priced lunch we've had yet. The grilled cheese has weird, sauce-like cheese but our other food was yummy! - Sharon O'harren
Beautiful sandy beach. The swimming is usually good although there is a steep drop off making bodysurfing a little painful (but still doable) - Ella B.
