Basilica of Ta' Pinu is a church Gharb, Gozo located in Malta.
Għarb Gharb, Gozo Malta
Beautiful! In this church you feel its pure beauty and it's not too rich like for example St. John's Cathedral in Valletta. I highly recommend to visit it, once you are in Gozo/Malta.
Basilica is beautiful, placed in quiet environment with hills and valleys around it. We didnt get inside because of a mass going on. But there are several great spots to take pictures around it.
Nice views outside, interesting sights inside. There's plenty of parking opposite and you can get refreshments from vendors outside. Make sure to be dressed appropriately, no entrance otherwise.
From the road look up to the hill and have a look at the surprisingly figures on the top
A national shrine and a centre of pilgrimage . On the site of a 16th century chapel, the church was started in 1920, consecrated in 1931 and raised to the dignity of Basilica by Pope Pius IX in 1932.
Here’s the schedule for mass. You can’t renter at these times. Unfortunately I arrived at 5pm on a weekday and found a service going on then. Still beautiful surrounding scenery
Beautiful church , all built with limestone. Its a symbol of a pilgrimage . Opposite the church there is a hill with numerous big statues and religious figures .
Impressive church with less visitors than many others of this scale.
Beautiful landscape!
Beautiful church with amazing view
Walk up the hill opposite
