Still on June 7th quite a bit of snow a mile into the trail . Great hiking though, not so much for trail running (at least first mile or so)
It's a long 5.5 miles on the oft-traveled PCT to the popular Kendall Katwalk. A shorter (and less crowded ) hike on the old (unsigned) Cascade Crest Trail cuts through Commonwealth Basin to Red Pass
Just over 250 miles left to the Canadian border!
Traffic jams on the trail .
Really great hike! Beautiful in the fall. - Mary S
WTA.org describes a 4-mile round trip which takes you to a viewpoint overlooking Rattlesnake. Do yourself a favor and to about 2 more miles to the summit for a beautiful view of Mt. Rainier. - Heath Stewart
