Go to Herring Point beach for a different view of the beach and less crowds plus great surf spot . though it can get crowded in the waters with rest of the surfers

Surf tag for in state - $65 annual fee. Allows access to park and entrance in "faster" lane for seasonal tag holders. Also can drive onto beach - enjoy the surf and fish at same time!

Climb to the top of the submarine tower. See the 16” gun from the USS MO used during WWII, featured in photos when the Japanese surrendered.

One of my favorite bike rides . Perfect mix of beach , marsh, and forest connecting the Lewes ferry terminal with Rehoboth Beach .

If you are not planning on fishing don't come to the surf fishing beach . It's a surf fishing beach not a "less crowded party beach "

Come early, this place fills up incredibly quickly most days in the summer, and the bathroom gets gross by noon.

Go to the tip, last parking lot near and sit bayside. Oodles of tidal pools to splash in and watch the ferries go by.

The beach is smaller than it used to be and always busy but a good family beach nonetheless.

If fishing for shark use a full spot for bait take your kayak about 200 yards out drop the bait then reel in a 8 foot tiger shark sonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

You can borrow bikes and helmets for free from the Bike Barn next to Nature Center .

These beaches are great because they are beaches and not row after row of beach shops selling the same stuff.
