The London Apprentice, just outside Syon Park , opposite Isleworth Ait, was once a favourite of Charles Dickens. Now it’s a perfect place to enjoy a drink by the river in the summer.
They do good pies and always selection of real ales on tap & 1 guest beer . The trio of fish (cod , seabass & salmon ) requires an enormous appetite - easily enough for 2 to share
Got here late so didn't get to try any of the hot foods. But beer was good, pub quiz looked fun. What else ya need!?
Great Riverside location and lovely on a summer's evening
Get a pint of Doombar and the chicken wings . Can be a bit chilly away from fire so keep your coat on!
Just old. Everything about it. The menu. The space. Needs modernisation, desperately.
Great place for food if your staying at the Waldorf and don't fancy theirs!
Great riverside pub , plenty of places to put bikes , awkward to park though if busy!
Try the Wild Boar Burger and the cheese and onion flavour chips !
Great atmosphere, and right on the river . The staff can be a bit moody though sometimes
My local! Try the fish n chips . Good stuffs!
Great atmosphere, and right on the river . The staff can be a bit moody though sometimes!
Lousy beer at this typical example of a pubco establishment. This place is living off its location and long-gone reputation. Poor service, uninspired food, I recommend you avoid.
moody staff
Nice food .. Horrible staff !

They found the Scrabble! Yay! And they have other games too. And beer. How can you go wrong? - Fiona Eastmond
The ale in here is to die for. Delicious T.E.A. in many guises & different every visit. - Joll Benn
The beer and ale selection is superb and rotates drequently. Good food, even if they don't have the hugest menu. A fine place to read a book and enjoy a good pint. - Ryan Bateman
