Get the chicken on a stick across the road from the dock - $3, and tasty! Add a smoothie next door for $5.
Don't wait till the last ferry of the day water gets really rough in the evening. Much better ride in the morning or afternoon.
The smoothie in the kiosk across from the terminal are great! Wish the ferry had outdoor seating and well maintained bathrooms .
Very hapy place when I arrive at Vieques but a very sad place when its time to head back:( lol nice, chill terminal, few plenty of spots to eat and relax before you catch your ferry ...
Tickets are sold 1 hour before each ferry departure so don't be surprised if you find the office closed when arriving early...
Get here AT LEAST 2 hours earlier on weekends and long weekends if you want to leave. The organization is non-existent.
Just be prepared to wait an extra hour if you're a tourist and locals cut you off...they are given priority
Be careful abt using thr ATM by the ferry , its easy to hack via ATM wireless...

I am so disappointed the Ferry sucks ..
Take a cab for $3 to esparanza beach. When you get there you can eat at Mucho gusto its very good and not as pricey as some of the other restaurants. Beautiful beaches - Danny R
Book a trip with Vieques Adventure Company - preferably the 9-11pm slot as it's less crowded on the bay. They have transparent kayaks and their tour staff is awesome to boot. - Kevin Chan
