Best market in town where you can get the best fresh fruit and vegetables and also meat fish bread flowers and other stuff. Very old building that will be on recovery work soon.
Don't forget this very nice authentic city area. Go down, have a walk around and take a seat in a small resto. NOT outside together with tourists , but inside in front of the kitchen. The core!
If you want seafood fix at a cheap prices, this market is for you. Went here a couple of times on my trip to Porto. Great food. Only 4-5 euro for fish or other options with some potato and salad !
Take a seat in the little fish resto in the middle of the building. Fresh fish and sea food , all are yummy ☺️
Nice food, reasonable prices- cheese and olives were very good! Overall a nice, typical food market with lots of fresh meat and fish .
This place has excellent food downstairs. Sit down and order from the menu. The fresh fish is excellent here and almost for free. A must do when in Porto
Nice open market for food and other shopping. Worth visiting
City center, local groceries , plants and lot of seafood ! Fun to walk around and see the giant octopus
This traditional market is now being filled with souvenir stands. However the fresh produce area is great. Especially the seafood !
Just wow! Amazing olives , jams and fruits at great prices. Recommended.
Beautiful traditional Portuguese market . Dominated now by tourist tut stalls but still worth a look
Great and cheap meal(try fresh fish definitelly) at the restaurant just in the middle of the market
Enter the marker from the north, to have a full view of the interior. Then go down the stairs and through the market .
Taste, wander and observe. Porto's cuisine and variety of souvenirs at its best.
Nice open market for food and other shopping. Worth visiting..
Delicious crepes ! Fruits , cheeses , flowers , Portuguese sweets, you name it!
Great place to try different foods. It closed at 8 though not midnight.
It's very different compared with other markets I've seen in other countries . It's old and simple. Middle lane is a tourist trap , otherwise very authentic !
Major attraction of the city . Recently renovated.
Fresh vegetables . An authentic place, good architecture with lots of tourist . Needs some maintenance.
Modern market , mildly interesting
Eat some meat or fish in the bars downstairs! Delicious!
Grilled sardines for 5 Euros only!
Really a tourist trap .. lots of small shops with overpriced products. Visit it on your trip, but don't get your hopes up.
Traditional! Must see!
Fresh fruits and Fish .
Could be better. Lots of stores/spots are left abandoned.
Nice food market
Not cheap place. Here 2 exits, one of them in the 3 flour.
More a tourist trap than a local market .
Disappointed. Supposed to ne busy on Fridays..mire than half of stands were closed.
Typical market
Not attractive at all
A originalidade do sítio!
Produtos locais a preços justos desde frutas regionais a souvenir.
Bem no centro do mercado . Excelente.
Vale a visita!
Comida muito boa. - Maria Linares
Great that the market tradition lived on while the original building is being restored. The temporary location misses the historic feeling of the original, but the diversity of produce is impressive. - Frédéric Latour
Typical grocery store. Apple juice for .66 euros - Michael Zhong
Breakfast is pricey at €20 per person but is worth it! Fresh OJ w/Eggs or cheese accompanying a bread basket & then fresh yoghurt topped w/red fruits and a glass of bubbly to finish. Very elegant! - Yasmin A.
Beautiful church impressively covered with azulejos. One of the gems of Porto. - Frédéric Latour
Try the juice of the day and the fresh, hot bread. A pleasant place to come for breakfast or a snack. - Vanessa Costa
