The cafe is featuring a special Latin-inspired menu from 9/15-10/15 in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. The special menu changes daily but will include soups , tamales , salads , entrees and desserts .
Plenty of seating! Gets hectic during peak tourist season
Ballpark prices, but it is ok since the museum admission is free. Awesome French fries , though!
Found the Welcome Back Kotter lunchbox from Mystery Show (podcast)! Wasn't super impressed with the Cafe though... you can do better Smithsonian.
85 for a family of 4 but the food was good. Excellent pulled pork sandwich .

High prices but they had pretty good Mac And cheese and nice staff told us to refill our water bottles for later on
Expensive. A sandwich & bottle of water will set you back $13+. The museum is free, though, so there's your trade-off.
It was expensive and not worth the money. We got a pb and Jelly sandwich , 2 apples , 3 drinks and an order of chicken tenders and fries (it came with 3 tenders) and it cost $31.00!!
I wish I had known I could buy beer in here. C'est la vie.
Completely agree that this place is a HUGE rip-off. The cafe in the Capitol is a relative bargain.
The Mac & Cheese is my favorite & it is cheap ;-)
The prices are high, but the money stays with the museum (which doesn't charge admission ).

crazy expensive and even if the food was warm when you got it, it's cold by the time you get through the line ! all the employees we entcountered were super rude, except for the tray guy!

Wak...eat at the cafe upstairs...the employees were rude, standing around gossiping and possibly talking shit about people as they walked by...WAY OVER PRICED!!!!
Extremely overpriced and not even good. It'd be better to eat outside, at the sales carts.
