Scottish pub on Elgin St, sister to the Highlander on Rideau, great decor, great food. I had the bangers and mash (scotch not on the side). Look out for the beer-labeled train going over your heads :)
Good lunch special . A sandwich and soup for $10 every day - today we had Smoked Beef Sandwich with Cream of Tomato . Last week was BLT with Pea Soup .
NOT a Irish theme bar ; oh no -- it's a Faux-"Highlands" theme pub ! And tourist-ready with all that that entails. But they *do* have Mad Tom, and for race weekend, that's all that matters.
Scottish pub (not Irish) with a nice selection of beer from Scotland and a great selection of whisky , Scotch and otherwise. Unfortunately the service is bad.
My server is so nice. I hope she's a freelance server, and works at every place I go to in Ottawa.
The live music can get pretty loud , would suggest getting a table in the back if possible.
The train probably annoys some, but I love it! Ask your server to fire it up!
