I fell in love with this quaint little pub . I felt at home as soon as I entered. Food deals/ burgers , fish & chips , corned beef and stew . The young blond woman that served us was off the chart great!
This place has yet to fail me. Love meeting family here after getting off the train just a block away. Great staff who are as engaging as you want them to be, and of course, great fish fry .
Try the lamb chops or the steak !! They were both cooked to perfection! The staff were excellent, attentive and informative. Enjoy the wonderful Irish music too!
During the summer, the open patio offers a great venue to people-watch on Massachusetts Avenue as you sip your Bass Ale , served by waiters with authentic brogues. Read more
Get the Guinness Burger as a switch from a traditional American burger . Onion straws , a boxty, cheese sauce with a burger on top. Nothing healthy about it & delicious!
President Obama celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by grabbing a pint of Guinness at the Dubliner, an Irish pub near the Capitol. Read more
The perfect place to stop at before or after a long Amtrak ride — they’ve got space for your bag in the restaurant and the restroom !
Everything!! Great salads like The Dubliner and any entre dish. This is not an ordinary Irish pub it's a restaurant .
Our server was hilariously snarky. Artichoke dip is tasty and Guinness is cold. Excellent music . Recommended.
Good food. Bartenders are so nice if you are staying in the Phoenix Park Hotel . Will definitely return.????????
I can definitely say that the shepherd's pie and the salmon are great. Expect more once I come here as a legal drinker.
Menu items could be clearer in the description. I liked my Guinness burger but didn't realize it was bun-less until it came out.
It’s like Ireland just two blocks away. Visit the Irish pub with live entertainment seven nights a week.
When in DC, hang at Dubliner's... good food, good brew, & good friends!
I enjoyed the fish and chips and the Guinness very nice service
An institution! Great Irish music , outstanding service !
The Moscow Mules SUCK. Don't go there, order the beer or Irish whiskey instead. If lunch go fish & chips or shepherd's pie .
fish & chips ...with a pint of smithwicks. lunch at the bar is the only way to go. padriac (the bartender ) is a kind gent...always friendly .
Brews, Shepherd's Pie , & Irish Coffee !
Truly a great find. Good food, great pints.... It's a small part of the UK in DC.
Friendly , but overworked staff . We were told there would be a 20-30 minute wait, but it was over an hour so we ate at the bar . The "Irish" sing-along consisted of Neil Diamond & Kingston Trio songs.
Burger of the Day is a great deal. Go in and get it during lunch - despite the busy area its never too crowded .
Classic. Beautiful wooden bar . Great place for a pint (or nine).
The fish and chips are to die for. Also, the spinach artichoke dip is fantastic!
Shepherd's Pie . But they didn't have the biggest beer selection ...
If you come on a Friday, you might see Monte Cristo girl. She also goes by Heather. She's cool and really likes Monte Cristos .
Fisk and chips , Greek salad , corn beef sandwich
Try the corned beef & cabbage . The red velvet cake was wonderful, too.
Don't worry about the food. Beer and Irish whiskey is your mission here.
The pricing is somewhat expensive ; drinks, appetizers and dinner for two can run up to $50. Read more
The Ruben is a great cut of meat
You have to get the guiness burger...it is to die for and you can't get it anywhere else!

Corned beef and cabbage . Kilkenny Irish Creme Ale
a stop here on every trip is a must..
The Chicken Fried Steak is a heart attack on a plate but it's pretty darn good.
The sliders are perfect!
Guinness and Guinness Burger !
Go with the Bailey's Cheesecake
Fish & chips was great. Irish waitresses during the week. Recommended.
Burgers are excellent
The chocolate cake is really tasty!
Potato soup was good. Beet sandwich was not.
Two different nights here with two different waitresses-one night our bill was $400 the next over 1k and they were VERY rude!!!! Must be Democrats!!
The worst food I've ever eaten in a bar--and I've been to a lot of bars ! Don't Do It!!!
Fish and chips
Fish and chips and a Boddington's. Need I say more? They make a mean Monte Cristo sandwich too.
Great for drinks, but don't go for the food. It's warm if not cold and a bit flavorless. I've had much better Irish food at other Irish pubs .
Shepherd's pie !
Fun Irish bar with a laid back atmosphere and nice selection of Irish whisk(e)ies at a good price. A good place for a less expensive evening than the also good next-door Dubliner. - Andrew Doll
Awesome! We each had the chicken club and it was great for both. Also, the wings app was well worth it. Lots of meat and great flavor. Belgium palm pale ale was a great beer to match it. - Charlie Beres
Everything is great - especially the East Coast Care & the Fish & Chips ! - Carlan Snipes
It's safe to say we never realized how important the Postal Service was until we learned of its extensive history here. Great exhibits and tons of knowledge. - Insider Perks
