Great food. Great coffee . Quick service . Had to ask 3 times for table water but it was very busy. Had Green Eggs w/ Chorizo and French Toast w/bacon. Would come back for sure!
Smooth fragrant coffee served at the perfect temperature. Their ice coffee with ice cream is to die for!! They serve a decent array of tapas after 3 pm. Still serve one of the best coffees around!
This place feels so much like old school Melbourne. Sure, the service is slow, but the food (tapas , pastel de Nata ) are excellent and the ambience is relaxed and quirky.
I dont see the fuss as tipped by others here. In fact, i had one of the most amazing dining experience here. Great food, amazing coffee , awesome staffs . Will DEFINITELY be back.
Highly recommend the Avocado bruschetta with the poached eggs and prosciutto ! My friend had the Pork panini which looked delicious!
The space is quite small. The seating areas are compact but enough room to eat. The décor features ex-theatre chaird to sit on which add to the intimate setting . The service and food were great.
Love the breakfast and the coffee here, the interior is comfy and cozy . The Portuguese tart had excellent pastry , but the custard was lacking, just tasted artificial
If you want to understand what's unique about Melbourne, have brunch here on your own at 11am on a Saturday morning... If you don't get what makes it unique, you'll probably never get this city ...
Coffee 's still great AND they kept aside my fancy umbrella when I left it yesterday. Such an easy spot for it to get nicked I'd list hope. But there it was. Thanks Degraves staff !
Staff here are not inefficient they are cool. This is the coolest spot in degraves. I am a traveller not staff . Cool menu , cool spot, cool patrons. I recommend it.
Good coffee and the Portuguese/custard tart had excellent pastry . Service was very friendly .
Ordered a big breakfast , then realised I didn't have enough cash. When I got back, my food was at my table!!! 5 minute big breakfast !!! It was delicious too
Nice breakie . Good atmosphere sitting outside. Pretty reasonable prices
Very disapointed. They should remove the spanish names... that's not tapas ! Spanish food is better than thatA cualquier cosa le llaman tapas
The green eggs are a must try. They are superb
Fantastic coffee , some of the best in melbourne! They source a different bean every week, and if nothing else the chicks with the full body tattoos are interesting in a 'deer in the headlights' kind o
Same price, different sizes. Ridiculous amount of muesli with little yoghurt . Presented without cutlery and then when asked was given a tea spoon. One angry man behind the bar - uncomfortable!!
Fantastic flat white and french toast while seated on cute Degraves Street outside.
Nice evenings with live blues but the wine in this glass??? :(
The breakfast bruschetta !! ????????
Try the Spanish Baked Eggs - Awesome - little bit of spice!
On Degraves street , a cute little laneway/street full of "Melbourne vibe".
Great coffee but no wifi , no reception, and be warned: cash only !
Breakfast all day on weekends. 10% surcharge on Sunday.
This place hasn't changed much in the last few years - but that's a good thing.
Great coffee , really bad breakfast . Chalky scrambled eggs and canned mushrooms .
Cap was a fw and thus having got not what I ordered was not too pleased with the high price. Staff lovely, atmosphere amazing.
Tapas are good
Coffee was nice!
Coffee is ok, porridge not that great. Just tasted like uncle toby's. French toast was great, get a side of bacon ! Staff not overly polite! Although, none are in Melbourne!
Nice atmosphere and coffee , staff don't pay much attention though.
Guy stands out the front to see that you don't eat food ftom elsewhere. Moved us when their entire seating was empty. Don't eat with these bullies, plenty more choices.
One of the best places to get a coffee in Melbourne
Don't bother with the coffee , very average. Staff are deadpan though not rude per se. French toast is nice not worthy to be called 'signature'. Not awful, but certainly better to be had in Melbourne.
"we don't do receipts for take-away" suggests to go elsewhere if you need one for the tax man.
great cheap food, friendly service and the tip jar cracked me up
Staff are very friendly and thanks for the fun experience guys!!!
Cash only , no EFT or credit card
Really cute . Dont get the veggie panini . Disappointment, but maybe just a bad menu choice
Coffee is not bad, it's more about the atmosphere in this laneway.
Average. The place wasn't even busy and it took 15 mins for my friend to be served and then an extra 10 for me.
They ran out of diet coke . The coffee tasted odd. But the pizza was good.
They forgot to order our food =\ bit of a fail... But the coffee was good and the OJ was great!
come early enough to try the elusive Cajun chicken panini
Great location terrible service
Incredible coffee and incredibly RUDE staff ...
Risotto was bland
Yeah. Service needs a complete overhaul. Too s-l-o-w!
I dig "slow food" but how about some quality customer service as well ?
Nice place, but very inefficient...
