Walk the full mile over to Illinois. You'll see the downtown Saint Louis skyline to the south. Also, there are 2 castles in the middle of the Mississippi river .

The 1981 Movie Escape from New York, The BRIDGE SCENE, was filmed on the Chain of Rocks Bridge .

Nice bike stop. View from the bridge is great too. Take it all in.
