The Springfield Science Museum is home to the Seymour Planetarium , the oldest operating planetarium in the United States . The star ball in the Seymour Planetarium can project more than 7,000 stars.
Interesting historical documents and displays about Ted Geisel (Dr. Seuss). Was hoping for small replica sculptures available for purchase in the museum ; only books , magnets, tees, holiday items.
The Dr. Seuss sculpture park is fun and free. Not very big, but a treat for fans young and old. Stop into the gift shop for a chance to buy Seuss books you can't find elsewhere.
The Springfield Museums have been one of my favorite places since I was a kid. It's so much fun bringing my children here.

The Science Museum is a blast, but we were absolutely fascinated by the History Museum . Such great exhibits about Springfield's history.
