If you plan on bring outside during the ride plan on bringing a sweater. It gets incredibly cold and windy on the ferry

Lots of nice shops nearby and the ferry ride to Sausalito is beautiful on a sunny day

Most ticket booths are now closed. GG Ferry has gone the way of BART -- get there a little early to buy tickets from the machines.

The aft-facing booth seat on the lower deck has an electrical outlet for your laptop and scads of room for your luggage.

It's easier and 20% cheaper to just buy a new clipper card from the machine than to actually purchase tickets from the booth . Do it!
