Good tour . Reduced fee on weekends as there usually aren't workers to see working. Gift shop was nice and the chance to hold a gold bar is fun also.
Great tours , very kid friendly , their boutique also has great variety. Must try to lift the gold bar in the store. Quite interesting to visit and see how money is made!
Lots of interesting facts on the tour . Definitely recommend it but remember no pictures allowed pretty much anywhere unless it's the gold bar !
Definitely recommend the 45-minute tour . Very informative and interesting.
Take a tour of the RCM! Don't forget to ask if there's production during the tour (no production over the week end..), if there isn't it can be a tad long. Even though the tours guides are awesome!
If you don't have time for a tour , at least visit the boutique to admire the gorgeous coins .
Only interesting if you are with a group and get a tour of the building. Otherwise only the boutique is open to visitors!
This is a super interesting and surprising tour . Highly recommend.
If you want to see production go there on weekday. You have to go when in Ottawa.
Tour was good however crowded on Canada weekend
Go lift the $650,000 bar of gold.
Only drawback is most of the mint is no photography allowed. Still good tour though.
Great guide tour !
I work here. Wicked building.
Take a picture with a gold bar worth more than $650000 (as of Aug '11). It's heavy!
Gold Gold Gold!
Get a $20 silver coin before they run out!
Underground museum, very interactive and mostly for children but presents nicely the principles behind monetary policy etc it is managed by the Bank of Canada and always free, so a great activity - Sabrina S.
This is the only museum in the city with self-updating exhibits! Afternoons are quieter, especially in the fall. We like to come in time for feeding time, get a snack w/bees & see milking. - Mary J
When I bring my son here, he always has a great time. Pack lunch if u r planning to stay around lunch time. - Queen .M
Excellent place to escape the day to day world. Quite and offers a great atmosphere and visuals for contemplation. - Max TheWestie
Give yourself at least 3 hours. Great museum! - Duane Nicol
Visited during rehearsal by the organist. Wonderful acoustics. Calming place to sit and center myself. - Cheryl Gain
